What is home health care?
Home Health is a comprehensive, multidimensional approach to provide care and services in the comfort of your home. Home Health care is an alternative approach for patients to receive care in their home with tasks they can’t do themselves due to injury or disease or providing relief to families who are primary care givers. Home health care is a more cost efficient and convenient approach that can be just as effective as the care you will receive in a hospital or skilled nursing facility.
What is your hourly rate?
Rates may vary from those listed on the website and will be discussed with each patient and their family at the time of consultation. Please call for a specific quote to meet your needs and location. Our rate is always the same. Day, night, weekday, weekend, even holidays – it does not change. We feel that this is the simplest for our clients to understand. There are no hidden charges. This way the client is never surprised.
What is a live-in situation?
The live-in situation is a great option for clients who would like the security of always having someone with their loved one. It provides constant supervision with our live-in and 24- hour care services. A live-in companion/caregiver works directly with the client 8-12 hours per day, has free time to themselves in the evening (but remains in the residence), and sleeps in the evening.
What is respite care?
Respite care provides short-term relief for primary caregivers. Respite care service aims to provide you with a temporary break from you caregiving responsibilities It can be arranged for just for a day, several days or weeks that services provide. Respite care services are charged by the hour or by the number of days or weeks that services are provided.
What is the goal for home health?
Home health care is an important service that can help enrich the lives of patients by providing physical, emotional, and social support to the patients and their families. It can help individuals remain in their homes and receive the care they need.
How do I initiate receiving home health services?
In most cases, a referral from your physician will initiate the process. You may qualify if you are homebound, under a doctor’s care and require skilled services of a nurse or licensed therapist.
Is there an end date for services?
Although there is no set end date for services, there are many factors that may contribute to the continuation, or the end of services provided. This will be based on the individual basis and their need.
How will I pay for home health services?
We accept most insurance plans. There are several options when it comes to paying for home health. It begins with determining the care needed. Skilled home health services may be covered by a combination of payment option such as Medicare, Medicaid, veteran’s benefits, and other alternative payment options. Non-skilled home health services are typically paid as an out-of-pocket expense. However, there are certain insurance policies that will pay for some or intermittent aide services. Please refer to your insurance company or inquire with one of our registered nurses.
Does the Home health Agency supply medical equipment or supplies?
No. we’ll work closely with your insurance company and physician, to help get the supplies and equipment needed.
What if I need help outside of business hours?
We are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to address the needs of our patients and their families. For all medical emergencies please call 911.
What is your service area?
Our office location currently provides home health services throughout Virginia. Including cities and counties within a 60-mile radius within our office.
